About
Eight hours behind
I live in Las Vegas. I fell for a football club on the north-east coast of England. Nobody planned this.
Who
Gus. Las Vegas, Nevada. A city built for people who stay up late, and I am one of them. Then I found Newcastle United, and Newcastle United kicks off at three in the afternoon on Tyneside, which is seven in the morning on the Strip. So now I am a degenerate who sets alarms.
I started filming it. The videos found their way to people who have been Geordies their whole lives, and a few of them decided to teach me. This site is where the whole thing gets written down, one week at a time, so I can look back and see how far I got.
Why the two clocks
Everything here shows the UK kickoff and the Vegas kickoff together, because that gap is the whole story. A 3pm Saturday at St James’ Park is 7am here. For two weeks a year, when British Summer Time and Pacific Daylight Time change on different dates, it is 6am. The clock is computed from the real time zones, never a fixed offset, because 6am and 7am are very different mornings.
What this site is not
- Not official. No crest, no badge, no club branding, anywhere. I am a fan with a website.
- Not scraped. Fixtures, results, and the table come from a licensed data provider, football-data.org.
- Not lifting anyone’s work. The pictures are mine. Match content, if it ever appears, is an official club or league embed.
- Not a stats shop. Raw facts only: scores, points, goal difference. No models, no xG, no pretending.
